Where Black Scholars Rise in Community, Healing, Mentorship and Advocacy.
We are a space for Black professionals in higher education—and their allies—to be seen, supported, and empowered. Through collective care, mentorship, and bold advocacy, we are transforming academia from the inside out.
A Message From Our Founder
Scholars in Solidarity exists to empower Black higher education professionals and their allies by fostering a space dedicated to community, healing, mentorship and advocacy in academia.
At Scholars in Solidarity, we center the voices, leadership, and well-being of Black women in education. While this is our primary focus, our work is grounded in solidarity and inclusivity—we also uplift other marginalized communities and welcome allies who are committed to justice, equity, and collective liberation.
We envision a future where Black women and other marginalized scholars rise in higher education through collective advocacy, holistic healing, intergenerational mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to community. Through these pillars, we cultivate spaces where scholars are not only supported—but truly seen, valued, and empowered to lead from within.
